The Department of Information Technology was created in 1999 to make the City of Berwyn a leader in the effective use of technology to improve government operations and provide better services to taxpayers. The Department of Information Technology is working to put technology to its highest and best use throughout City government to improve the administration of City programs and services.

The mission of the Department of Information Technology is to provide quality information technology (IT) services and solutions to customers, effectively aligning business and technology objectives through collaboration, in order to provide the most cost-effective solutions that facilitate and improve the conduct of business for our City residents, businesses, visitors and government entities.

City Network Expansion (Add't three locs) -- Complete
City-Wide Fiber Network (AT&T's OPT-E-Man) -- Complete
City-Wide VoIP Phone System (Nortel) -- Complete

Redevelopment of City Website -- Complete
