E.S.P. Club
This Berwyn club for seniors meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays from September through May. Activities include luncheons and socializing. Games are played and other entertainment is done. Meetings are at 11:30am at the Pavek Community Center at 31st and East Ave. For more information call Chuck Hybal at 708-484-2313.
THE BERWYN V.I.P. CLUB
“Berwyn's Oldest Senior Citizens Club ”
This is the city of Berwyn’s oldest senior citizens club. This Berwyn senior citizens club welcomes all senior citizens. They encourage new members to join and graciously invite seniors to their luncheons and their numerous events and parties. The cost for the various luncheons is $4.00, with programs presented focused on senior issues, enjoyments, and interests.
The Berwyn VIP club meets from September through May at 11:30 a.m., on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at the Pavek Recreational Center located on 31st and East Avenue

The North Berwyn Park District welcomes all members of the diverse, growing senior population to enrich their lives through the enjoyment of leisure and social activities. We invite senior citizens of Berwyn to celebrate life by joining activities and programs such as social events, recreation classes and trips. PAV YMCA
The YMCA of Berwyn-Cicero, Inc. (PAV YMCA) is a 501C3 not for profit charitable organization that provides a full range of programs and services which meets the physical, social and spiritual needs of our diverse community. The YMCA of Berwyn-Cicero, Inc. (PAV YMCA) is open for all, and donations and contributions make it possible to provide fee assistance to families and individuals in need. It is because of generous contributions that we are able to fulfill our mission of turning no one away due to monetary difficulties.
Senior Programs at the YMCA
1. The YMCA of Berwyn-Cicero, Inc. (PAV YMCA) located at 2947 S. Oak Park Ave specializes in senior programming offering over 25 weekly water and land based classes. Currently The YMCA of Berwyn-Cicero, Inc. (PAV YMCA) has over 9500 memberships, and 20% of that number is active seniors.
2. In 2005 we partnered with Heathway and Humana Insurance and the SilverSneakers Fitness Program which is a fitness program that address the needs of the Medicare 65 and older population, and members that have a particular type of Humana Insurance receive free facility usage at no additional cost. We have had great success with the program. We have over 300 seniors enrolled averaging over 1,000 monthly visits to our Y.
3. The YMCA of Berwyn-Cicero, Inc. (PAV YMCA) is also in partnership with the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program which focuses on the needs of anyone with arthritis or related musculoskeletal conditions. We currently offer both Smooth moves (water) and Pick Up the PACE (land) classes.
4. The YMCA of Berwyn-Cicero, Inc. (PAV YMCA) has also formed the “Senior Club” which meets every Friday of the Month. The Senior Club organizes many senior events and socials ranging from BINGO to Movie Day, and most recent a trip to The Taste of Chicago.
Our seniors are a very special group here and our focus has been to continuously enhance the quality of service for them in order to improve their overall health and quality of life.
