The City of Berwyn Fire Department’s Emergency Management Division is proud to announce that its inaugural Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training course has reached full capacity. The overwhelming response to this new initiative reflects the strong civic spirit of Berwyn residents who are eager to step up, learn life-saving skills, and serve their community in times of need.

Due to limited training supplies and instructor availability, no additional participants can be accepted at this time. Walk-ins will not be permitted, and only individuals who have received an official confirmation will be allowed to participate in the upcoming sessions.

Those who were unable to enroll but are interested in future CERT opportunities are encouraged to sign up for the City’s Emergency Notification System (robocalls/text alerts) and to regularly check www.berwyn-il.gov for updates.

El Programa CERT Llega a su Capacidad Máxima: Residentes de Berwyn Responden al Llamado

La División de Manejo de Emergencias del Departamento de Bomberos de la Ciudad de Berwyn se enorgullece en anunciar que su curso inaugural del Programa de Capacitación del Equipo Comunitario de Respuesta a Emergencias (CERT, por sus siglas en inglés) ha alcanzado su capacidad máxima. La abrumadora respuesta a esta nueva iniciativa refleja el fuerte espíritu cívico de los residentes de Berwyn, quienes están dispuestos a dar un paso adelante, aprender habilidades para salvar vidas y servir a su comunidad en momentos de necesidad.

Debido a la disponibilidad limitada de materiales de capacitación y del personal instructor, no se podrán aceptar más participantes en este momento. No se permitirán inscripciones sin cita previa (walk-ins), y solo podrán participar en las próximas sesiones aquellas personas que hayan recibido una confirmación oficial.

A quienes no pudieron inscribirse pero están interesados en futuras oportunidades del programa CERT, se les recomienda registrarse en el Sistema de Notificaciones de Emergencia de la Ciudad (llamadas automáticas y alertas por texto) y visitar con regularidad el sitio web www.berwyn-il.gov para obtener actualizaciones.
