Harlem Avenue Grade Crossing Closure EXTENDED THROUGH WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19:

UPDATE: BNSF has announced that the Harlem Avenue grade crossing rehabilitation project has been delayed due to weather. The crossing closure has been extended, and the crossing is now tentatively scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, August 19, instead of tomorrow, Sunday, August 16.

BNSF Railway has advised that the Harlem Avenue grade crossing will be temporarily closed starting on Thursday, August 6, at 6:00AM, until Sunday, August 16, at 6:00AM, to conduct a rehabilitation project. The grade crossing will be closed to both vehicles and pedestrians during the closure. There will be detours from Roosevelt Road to First Avenue/Route 171 on the north side, and from Ogden Avenue to First Avenue on the south side.

Passengers will be able to continue to use the Berwyn and Riverside stations, which are within the same zone as Harlem, without a ticket price increase.

ACTUALIZACIÓN: BNSF ha anunciado que el proyecto de rehabilitación del cruce ferroviario de Harlem Avenue se ha retrasado debido al clima. El cierre se ha extendido y ahora está programado tentativamente para reabrir el miércoles 19 de agosto, en lugar de mañana, domingo 16 de agosto.

Cierre del Cruce Ferroviario de la Avenida

BNSF Railway ha informado que el cruce ferroviario de Harlem Avenue estará cerrado temporalmente desde el jueves 6 de agosto a las 6:00AM, hasta el domingo 16 de agosto a las 6:00AM, para llevar a cabo un proyecto de rehabilitación. El cruce ferroviario estará cerrado tanto para vehículos como para peatones durante el cierre. Habrá desvíos desde Roosevelt Road hacia First Avenue/Route 171 en el lado norte y desde Ogden Avenue hacia First Avenue en el lado sur.

Pace Detour Alert for PACE Routes 302 & 307

Effective Thursday, August 6, 2026

Due to construction in Berwyn, Harlem Avenue will be closed between Windsor Avenue and Stanley Avenue. As a result, buses will operate on the following detours until construction is complete (expected to be Saturday, August 15, 2026):

Route 302

Harlem Avenue ↔ 34th Street ↔ Oak Park Avenue ↔ Stanley Avenue

Route 307

Harlem Avenue ↔ 34th Street ↔ Oak Park Avenue ↔ 32nd Street ↔ Harlem Avenue

During this detour, buses will not operate on Harlem Avenue between 34th Street and 32nd Street or on Stanley Avenue between Harlem Avenue and Oak Park Avenue.

Additionally, on the temporary segment of the route, posted bus stop signs will not be present. Riders can get on or off the bus at any safe intersection along that segment.
