Greetings neighbor,

This season has brought moments that remind us why tradition, connection, and service matter so deeply. We recently gathered with our Silver (60+)Community at the new Senior Center, located at 3320 Grove Avenue, celebrating more than two decades of shared history, friendship, and resilience, honoring those who helped build the foundation we continue to grow upon. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all those that joined, including our federal, state, and local officials and representatives, and First Responders. 

I also want to acknowledge the amazing Senior Services Staff that serve our elderly with respect and care, and all those that made this such a memorable event. 

It was equally inspiring to see smiles in the faces of children and young families during our Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies, both at City Hall and at Freedom Middle School. 

These celebrations highlight what makes Berwyn special; generations standing together, sharing light, music, and memories that carry us forward.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Organized Hispanics Making Strides (OHMS), comprised of Latino members of IBEW Local 134, for generously donating their time, talent, and craftsmanship to beautifully decorate our tree.

We are also grateful to our City Youth Ambassadors for coordinating logistics and handing out popcorn, to Pink Owl for the warm hot chocolate, and to AR Electric for bringing festive joy with the Electric Santa Sleigh.

These are the moments, joyful, and filled with community spirit, that remind us of who we are together. Thank you for continuing to show up, to give, to believe in each other, and to help make Berwyn a place where tradition thrives and new beginnings feel possible. I am grateful to share this season with you, and I look forward to many more memories made side by side.

Hola Vecinos,

Esta temporada nos ha traído momentos que nos recuerdan por qué la tradición, la conexión y el servicio son tan importantes. Recientemente nos reunimos con nuestra Comunidad de Plata (60+) en el nuevo Centro Senior, ubicado en 3320 de la Avenida Grove, celebrando más de dos décadas de historia compartida, amistad y resiliencia, honrando a quienes ayudaron a construir la base sobre la cual seguimos creciendo. Mi agradecimiento más sincero a todos los que nos acompañaron, incluidos funcionarios y representantes federales, estatales y locales, así como a nuestros Primeros Respondientes.

También quiero reconocer al increíble personal de Servicios para Adultos Mayores, que sirve a nuestros mayores con respeto y dedicación, y a todos quienes hicieron que este evento fuera tan memorable.

Fue igualmente inspirador ver sonrisas en los rostros de los niños y de las familias jóvenes durante los Encendidos del Árbol de Navidad, tanto en el Ayuntamiento como en La Escuela Freedom. Estas celebraciones destacan lo que hace especial a Berwyn: generaciones unidas, compartiendo luces, música y recuerdos que nos acompañan hacia el futuro.

Extendemos nuestro más profundo agradecimiento a la Organizacion Hispanos Organizados Marcando la Diferencia (OHMS), conformado por miembros latinos del IBEW Local 134, por donar su tiempo, talento y destreza para decorar nuestro árbol.

También estamos agradecidos con nuestros Juveniles de la Ciudad por coordinar la logística y repartir palomitas, con la cafeteria Pink Owl por el chocolate  abuelita caliente, y con AR Electric por traer alegría festiva con el Santa Sleigh Eléctrico.

Estos son los momentos, llenos de alegría y espíritu comunitario, que nos recuerdan quiénes somos juntos. Gracias por seguir participando, dando, creyendo en los demás y ayudando a que Berwyn sea un lugar donde las tradiciones prosperan y los nuevos comienzos son posibles.

Me siento agradecido de compartir esta temporada con ustedes y espero con ilusión muchos más recuerdos construidos lado a lado.
